Former Marlin Matysek joins Pirates

The South West Metro Pirates have announced the signing of Joel Matysek for the upcoming NBL1 North season.

Matysek joins the Pirates after playing over 50 games for the Cairns Marlins in the QBL. 

He has also represented North Queensland and Queensland at Nationals level. 

Matysek joins Kai Woodfall, Brandon Edwards, Cameron Gordon, Brendan Teys, Christian Pang, Ryan Vines and Tendekai Machando on the Pirates' Men's roster so far. 

The Pirates tip-off for 2021 with a clash against the Southern Districts Spartans on Saturday 15 May.
