Saturday: Round 2, Sunshine Coast Phoenix vs Northside Wizards
Women’s live from 5:30pm local time
The Phoenix will host the reigning champions in a must-watch clash on the Sunshine Coast.
In their first game at home, the Phoenix couldn’t defeat the stacked Southern District Spartans with a final score of 53-77.
Carlie Smith dropped a game-high 21 points and 19 rebounds, showing the potential of this group when it’s rolling.
The defending champions started their season with a dominant team win, with all five starters scoring in double-digits to dismantle the Brisbane Capitals. With the team projected to go back-to-back, the team will be looking to set the tone of their season on Saturday night.

Men’s live from 7:30pm local time
The hosts of the Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 National Finals will have a fun game on their hands, as the highly athletic Northside Wizards will put on a show at Maroochydore Stadium.

The Robateau brothers made their return in Round 1, scoring a combined 34 points alongside new recruit Kobe McDowell-White – who had 18 points, seven assists and four rebounds to almost conquer the Spartans in the 78-85 loss.
The Wizards are coming off a close game of their own, beating the Brisbane Capitals 95-87 off the back of Sydney King Jack Makoi’s 22 points in his NBL1 debut.
Friday: Round 3, Albury-Wodonga Bandits vs Centre of Excellence
Women’s live from 6:00pm local time
The present vs the future, legend of the game Lauren Jackson will play against the future of the Opals program she built on Friday.
Averaging a conference-high 28.6 points, she joins Perth Lynx standout Ash Hannan and Mikayla Pivec, who’s coming off a triple-double in Round 2 against Sutherland.
With future stars like Bonnie Deas, Opal Bird and Sienna Harvey, the Centre of Excellence is set to once again be a powerhouse in the East.

With Dash Daniels and Kye Savage leading the way as future NBL prospects, the Albury-Wodonga Bandits will have their hands full on Friday night.
NBL standout Davo Hickey has been dominant thus far, averaging almost 30 points per game, 13.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists for the 2-1 Bandits.
The one to watch will be Shawn Montague, the 6’8” import may be too much size for the CoE to handle, averaging 15.4 points and eight rebounds last season for the Hills Hornets.
Saturday: Round 3, Sutherland Sharks vs Maitland Mustangs

Sutherland will host Maitland in a clash to kickstart both team's seasons on Saturday afternoon.
Sitting sixth and ninth respectively on the ladder, Emily Garland and Olivia White will be trying to defend home court against the Mustangs.
With the return of import Sydney Hunter, who had 18 points and 14 rebounds against Canberra last week, this will be an interesting battle between two teams searching for their 2024 identity.

In a Grand Final rematch, the Sharks will host the Mustangs in what should be an instant classic cross-Sydney derby.

The Grand Final came down to the final seconds, as the Sharks stole the win 83-80 to claim the conference title. And while both teams have undergone some changes, the remaining Finals MVP Lochlan Hutchison and conference MVP Will Cranstown-Lown going head-to-head is worth the price of admission alone.
Sunday: Round 3, Diamond Valley Eagles vs Melbourne Tigers

On Sunday, it will be a battle of elite NBL1 South guards as Gemma Potter’s Diamond Valley will host Sam Simons in a must-watch Sunday afternoon battle.
Both teams are sitting at ninth and seventh respectively, both leaving plenty of room to improve after their promising starts.

Coming off two losses in Round 2, the Tigers will be highly motivated to take the win at the Diamond Valley Sports & Fitness Centre.
With NBL1 South Co-MVP Jack Purchase, Tom Wilson and Mason Gaze, the Tigers are a threat to win any game – only losing by six points to the first-placed Ringwood Hawks last Saturday.
They’ll take on the Eagles, who after a surprising Preliminary Finals finish last season, will try to recapture the magic at home this weekend.
Averaging 15.3 points and eight rebounds, you’ll need to keep an eye on former Tasmania JackJumper Jock Perry in this clash as the x-factor.
Friday: Round 4, Rockingham Flames vs Willetton Tigers
Women’s live from 6:30pm local time
Two-time NBL1 West MVP Alex Sharp will face her old side for the first team this season in a blockbuster match-up.
The Tigers made the Grand Final in three straight years with Sharp leading the way. They claimed the 2021 title and she was named the Finals MVP.
The 5-0 Flames will host the Tigers coming off their first win with an enormous game from Foot Locker Player of the Week Imani Guy.

In one of the most mouth-watering games of the season, former Flame Marshall Nelson will face off against Rockingham in a game brewing with tension.
The National Finals All-Star Five member re-signed with the Flames this offseason after another spectacular year averaging 21.8 points for the Preliminary Finalists.

However, in the offseason, Nelson’s contract was renegotiated and he signed with the Tigers for the 2024 NBL1 West season.
Both teams are retooling after last year, as the Flames added Gorjok Gak and Quinton Dove. While the Tigers added Goldfield Giants import Michael Dupree.
Expect some red-hot emotions and some of the best basketball Western Australia has to offer in this double-header.
Saturday: Round 5, North Adelaide Rockets vs Forestville Eagles
Women’s live from 6:30pm local time
Second and third on the ladder, the dynamic duo Lauren Mansfield and Brooke Basham will take on the talented Eagles this weekend.
Getting a team win over the reigning champion Norwood Flames in Round 4, Forestville’s Maddison Freer and Jess Simon both put up 20 points in a win.
This game may end up being a preview for the NBL1 Central Grand FInal, so make sure to tune in Live and Free via Kayo Freebies.

The Grand Final runners-up from last season will take on the Rockets at home at The Lights Community and Sports Centre on Saturday night.
With a similar roster, former Adelaide 36ers guard Adam Doyle and star import Greg Mays will be a difficult pick-and-roll duo for North Adelaide to guard.
While on the other side, Durrell MacDonald and Koop McCalop are just as dangerous and possibly even more breathtaking.
After a season with the Panthers, Daniel Johnson has returned to Forestville and has been nothing but what NBL fans would expect – averaging 15.7 points, 11.2 rebounds and five assists for the Eagles.
