Kon Aguik becomes a Rocket for NBL1 North

The Rockhampton Rockets have signed 6'5 combo guard Kon Anguik to their roster for the upcoming 2021 NBL1 North season.

The Rockhampton Rockets have signed 6'5 combo guard Kon Anguik to their roster for the upcoming 2021 NBL1 North season.

Anguik last played for the Southern Districts Spartans in the QSL competition late last year.

Rockets coach Neal Tweedy said he was glad to have Anguik part of the roster moving forward.

"We really liked the look of Kon when watching the QSL last season and feel like he has a lot to offer our program this year," he said.

"Kon is a very good defender, can defend multiple positions at 6'5 and is extremely efficient at the offensive end.

"I am really happy to have him on board his season."

Anguik, who recently arrived in Rockhampton, is extremely excited about the season ahead.

"I am extremely thankful to be given the opportunity to play with the Rockets this season and I will be looking forward to a successful season ahead," he said.

"I am looking forward to contributing in any way I can to help the team's success and want to be there at the business end of the season."

The Rockets tip-off for 2021 with a clash against Mackay on Friday 21 May.
