Lauren Nicholson set to miss first half of the season

Back-to-back NBL1 East Defensive Player of the Year Lauren Nicholson will miss the first half of the season according to the Sutherland Sharks. 

The team provided an update via social media, stating Nicholson has signed a short-term contract in Spain with Spar Girona. The club stated she will return by June. 

If Nicholson returns by the first of June (Round 9), the Sharks will have 10 games left to qualify for the Finals. In the NBL1 East, a player must play eight games to qualify for the Finals.
