Young attended Holy Names University in California, competing in the Pac West for four years before graduating in 2019.
He started all 25 games as a senior and was named to the all-academic Pac West team.
Young's Thunder junior representative team also won two State Championships, and he will be soon be joined in the Thunder front-court by another member of his junior team, which Logan is yet to announce.
Head coach Luke Cann said he was excited to have another Logan junior rejoin the senior ranks.
"We are thrilled to have Zac back on board as apart of the Thunder Family," he said,
"As a local junior, Zac exemplifies what it means to represent the whole Logan community and always plays with a toughness that is extremely valuable to any team.
"He has legitimate size and length for an interior player and will offer us depth in our big rotation this season while doing all the things on the court which embody team basketball and what we are about.
"Zac has had a great pre-season so far and I’m looking forward to seeing him take a big leap in his game this year."
