After a spectacular season, Sam McDaniel has been awarded the conference MVP.

Brisbane Capitals star Sam McDaniel has been named the NBL1 North MVP and Defensive Player of the Year for the 2024 NBL1 North season.
In his first season up North, McDaniel Averaged 22.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game under Capitals head coach and Bullets assistant coach, Greg Vanderjagt.
McDaniel has won his second-straight Defensive Player of the Year award in the NBL1, taking home the honour last season in the NBL1 South with the Hobart Chargers.
Beating out Logan’s Shaun Bruce, Mackay’s Isaac White and Todd Blanchfield, and Southern Districts’ Tyrell Harrison – McDaniel now joins Jason Cadee, Kouat Noi and Jeremy Kendle for the honour.
