Logan retains Carroll

The Logan Thunder have announced the return of Cassie Carroll for the 2021 NBL1 North Season.

Carroll has previously played multiple seasons in the WNBL, won three SEABL championships and has represented Queensland as a junior. She added to her impressive basketball resume last year with a 2020 Queensland State League Championship.

Carroll remained an integral part of Logan in their 2020 championship and is a huge addition returning for the inaugural NBL1 North season.

“I can’t be more excited to have someone of Cassie’s calibre, talent and experience back on our team for this season," coach Brayden Heslehurst said. 

"She made a huge impact on our team last year with her versatility and ability to play so many positions on the floor, defend at a high level and also continued to improve on the offensive end, including a massive grand final where she hit six threes.

"Cassie will be even better this year with a preseason behind her and she’s just one of those unselfish team players that every group needs to win a championship.”
