Mackay junior Carter joins NBL1 North ranks

The Mackay Meteorettes have signed Laycee Carter for the 2021 NBL1 North season. 

Carter, who is a Mackay junior, is fresh off representing Queensland North at the U18 National Championships in Victoria. 

She joins Cayla George, Chelsea Brook, Denesha Bobongie, Heidi Freeburn, Sara Storeshaw, Bronte Allen, Jacqui Zelenka and Paris Santacaterina on the Meteorettes' roster for the upcoming season. 

Mackay tips off for 2021 with a clash against Townsville at Townsville StarFM Stadium on Friday 14 May. 

The women's clash begins at 6.30 pm local time while the men hit the court at 8.30 pm.
