Mansfield makes return to Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Rollers have announced the return of Lauren Mansfield to the 2022 NBL1 North Gold Coast Lady Rollers.

The Gold Coast Rollers have announced the return of Lauren Mansfield to the 2022 NBL1 North Gold Coast Lady Rollers.

Mansfield impressed crowds last season, her first with the Lady Rollers, with impeccable skills and desire to win.

She is about to start a season in the WNBL for the Sydney Uni Flames and has officially been announced as captain of the WNBL side.

Mansfield will return to the Rollerdome for the upcoming 2022 NBL1 season.

Lady Rollers Head Coach, Jackie Brown said that it was a fantastic move to resign the point guard and move towards securing the rest of the roster for the upcoming season.

"Lauren is a true professional and leader both on and off the court," Brown said.

"She will be returning of the back of no doubt a successful WNBL season and after speaking with her, she is excited to be part of the Rollers program again and fired up to lead the way through a successful campaign."

General Manager, Joel McInnes stressed that Mansfield’s leadership on and off the court was a big reason to bring her back.

"Lauren brings an obvious excellence to the court, but her ability to mentor the incredible wealth of talent coming through the Gold Coast Basketball ranks is a big reason we wanted her back," he said.
