The South West Metro Pirates have announced the return of one of their favourite sons, Brendan Teys, for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

The South West Metro Pirates have announced the return of one of their favourite sons, Brendan Teys, for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

Teys, a South West junior and Queensland representative player, made his QBL debut with the Pirates in 2007 at just 17.

He played over 100 games for the Pirates before taking up a professional basketball career playing with the Gold Coast Blaze, Townsville Crocodiles and since 2013 with the Adelaide 36ers where he has been captain and co-captain for the team. This year he surpassed 250 games in the NBL.

Teys joins Kai Woodfall, Brandon Edwards and Cameron Gordon on the Pirates’ roster for the upcoming NBL1 North season.
