WOMEN
Maitland Mustangs (47) def by Central Coast Crusaders (71)
This was a statement win from the Crusaders, putting 71 points in a 24-point victory against the Hornets.
Sara Matthews recorded a huge 17 pts and 10 reb, while only two Maitland players reached double figures.

The first half belonged to Albury-Wodonga, though Canberra’s second half scoring efforts saw them leave with a win. Albu
With Albury-Wodonga’s star scorer Lauren Jackson sidelined, Ai Yamada filled her shoes with 37 points, 8 steals and 4 rebounds. This was not enough for Canberra, who shot 48% from the field.

Inner-West Bulls (52) def by Norths Bears (84)
Inner West were short-handed with only 8 players suiting up in the 32 point loss to Norths. Norths’ pressure caused 26 turnovers and ultimately a convincing win.
Riley Evans came off the bench and dropped 22 points, backed up by Emily Simons’ 22.

Sutherland Sharks (55) def by Newcastle Falcons (65)
Newcastle was in control for almost all of the game. They managed to come away with the win despite shooting only 53% from the free throw line, which could have proved to be crucial if the game was any closer.
Lauren Nicholson had a stellar 40 minute, 27 point performance. University of Michigan commit Chyra Evans had 21 points and 11 rebounds of her own.

It was a high scoring matchup between MW and Illawarra. Illawarra dominated inside with 36 points in the paint.
Georgia Ohrdorf was unstoppable, recording 23 points, 9-10 ft and 12 boards.

It was a high scoring contest between the Bandits and Gunners.
25 Canberra offensive rebounds led to 25 second chance points, compared to the Bandits’ 4.
William Mayfield and Glenn Morison combined for a monstrous 63 points. Branden Jenkins tried to answer with 37 of his own but it wasn’t enough in the end.

An incredibly tight contest between the Bulls and Norths resulted in the Bulls sneaking a 5 point victory.
Free throws were the name of this game - Norths only shooting 13-24 from the stripe.
Chier Maker led Inner west with 17.
INNER-WEST 84 (Maker 17, Higgins-Titscha 15, Signal 14)

Sutherland Sharks (75) def by Newcastle Falcons (78)
Myles Cherry was unconscious, scoring 36 - almost half of Newcastle’s 78 points.
Newcastle’s starting group scored 74 of their 78. Ryan Beisty contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Sea Eagles couldn’t keep up with Illawarra’s star Guard Kiwi Gardner. Gardner keeps up his mvp-calibre form with 35 points to go along with 9 assists and 2 steals.
Despite 23 turnovers the Hawks were still able to walk away with an 18 point victory.

ILLAWARRA 90 (Gardner 35, Walker 17, Morris 15)
Hills Hornets (58) def by Bankstown Bruins (62)
The two bottom-of-the-ladder squads faced off in what was a low scoring contest, with Bankstown pulling of the victory.
Paul Brotherson top scored with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
