WOMEN
Darwin Salties (74) def by Rip City (83)
The Salties lost a close one here, going down by only nine points to Rip City.
Carlie Smith led Rip City, and the game, in scoring, with 25 points, while Ashley Arlen recorded an 18-point 16-rebound double-double.
Darwin had four starters in double figures, led by Ruby Porter 17, but they didn’t quite have enough to get over the line.

RIP CITY 83 (Smith 25, Arlen 18, Ups and Hughes 13)
Cairns Dolphins (56) def by Southern Districts Spartans (89)
A dominant first half from Southern Districts won this game, outscoring Cairns 50-22 en route to a 33-point win.
Nadeen Payne was the driving force behind the Spartans win, scoring 32 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Amy Lewis led the Dolphins with 16, but their lack of depth showed in this game.

SOUTHERN DISTRICTS 89 (Payne 32, Scott 16, Allen 14)
Rockhampton Cyclones (60) def by Ipswich Force (90)
A solid 30-point win from Ipswich in this game, thanks to a spread-out yet effective scoring performance.
Tia Hay led all scorers with 21 and was joined by starters Amanda Cahill and Brianna Rollerson who had twin 18-point efforts.
Lara McSpadden was Rockhampton’s top scorer with 18 herself, but only one other player in double figures was not enough for a Cyclones win.

IPSWICH 90 (Hay 21, Cahill and Rollerson 18)
MEN
Darwin Salties (84) def by Rip City Basketball (89)
Rip City escaped with a five-point victory in this game, despite being outscored by that same margin in the fourth quarter.
Jerron Jamerson led all scorers with 25 points for the Salties, with Makuach Maluach chipping in 21.
However, it wasn’t enough to take down Rip City, led by twin 24-point efforts from Verle Williams and Kuoat Noi.

RIP CITY 89 (Williams and Noi 24, McAlister 15)
Cairns Marlins (85) def by Southern Districts Spartans (90)
Only five points separated Cairns and Southern Districts at the end of this game, with the Spartans rallying late to take the win.
Benjamin Ayre led Cairns and the game with 30 points, but Cairns’ two players with 20+ point efforts - Jalen Canty and Jacob Allen - sealed it for the Spartans.

SOUTHERN DISTRICTS 90 (Canty 24, Allen 20, Nai 13)
Rockhampton Rockets (86) def by Ipswich Force (95)
A strong second half won this game for the Force, bouncing back from a sluggish start to outscore the Rockets 52-34.
Henry Pwono was the standout for Ipswich with 31 points, while Majok Deng had 24 points and 13 rebounds.
For Rockhampton, their entire starting five scored at least 15 points, but only three bench points were not enough support to get a win.
