WOMEN
North Gold Coast Seahawks (68) def by Red City Roar (71)
An incredibly close contest to kick off the proceedings, this match came down to the final seconds, with the Roar able to sneak away with a three-point win.
The Seahawks showed a united front, with three of their players scoring at least 15 points.
Despite this, Mia Loyd was able to lead her team to victory, with 21 points, eight rebounds, and six assists
NORTH GOLD COAST 68 (Jansen 18, Riley and Donovan 15)
RED CITY 71 (Loyd 21, Sarra 12, Arthur 11)
Rockhampton Cyclones (78) def by Cairns Dolphins (98)
This was a tough game for Rockhampton, completely outclassed over the course of four quarters by a team with much more depth.
Jannon Otto and Madison Torresin combined for 46 for the Cyclones, but no other players were able to crack double digits.
Cairns had five players in double digits, Teyahna Bond leading with 24, while Cayla George fell just two points shy of a triple-double, eight points to go with 14 rebounds and 10 assists.
ROCKHAMPTON 78 (Otto 25, Torresin 21, Clifford 8)
CAIRNS 98 (Bond 24, Davidson 22, Burke 13)
South West Metro Pirates (73) def by Ipswich Force (78)
This was a tough loss for SW Metro, going down by just five points, despite three of their five starters hitting double digits.
The force only had two starters in double digits, but their saving grace was Tia Hay, who came off the bench for 25 points.
SW METRO 73 (MacGregor 23, Kennedy-Hopoa 18, Alston 11)
IPSWICH 78 (Hay 25, Wragg 13, Burton 11)
Southern Districts Spartans (78) def by Logan Thunder (82)
Another close one, this game came down to the final seconds, with the Thunder edging out the Spartans by four points.
Despite the loss, Madelyn Allen lead all scorers with 34 points, with seven rebounds and five assists.
In return, Mikaela Ruef had 25 points and 16 rebounds, but three other Thunder starters in double digits meant Logan earned the win.
SOUTHERN DISTRICTS 78 (Allen 34, Payne 16, Dart and Twidale 9)
LOGAN 82 (Ruef 25, Taia 15, Koizar 13)
Darwin Salties (60) def by Townsville Flames (76)
This game was a two-woman demolition job, Courtney Woods and Stephanie Reid combining for 53 points to take down a solid Salties team.
Darwin's starting five produced four double-digit scorers, Ruby Porter leading with 13, but the combined power of Woods and Reid was enough for the Flames to secure the sizeable victory.
DARWIN 60 (Porter 13, Evans and Brook 12)
TOWNSVILLE 76 (Woods 34, Reid 19, Rodgers 8)
USC Rip City (79) def by Northside Wizards (91)
Less of a basketball game and more of a heavyweight fight, this match provided one of the best head-to-head matchups we've seen this year, with Shyla Heal and Ashley Harris both throwing bombs as they each scored over 30 points.
But while Heal had three other teammates hit double-digits, Harris had just one, meaning that while she may have won the individual battle, her and her team lost the proverbial war.
USC 79 (Harris 37, Rocci 21, Ups 6)
NORTHSIDE 91 (Heal 33, Cynthia Manga 18, McCarron and Parker 10)
MEN
USC Rip City (94) def by Northside Wizards (102)
This was a high-flying, high-scoring, star-studded contest, featuring some of the best NBL1 basketball we've seen this season.
Anthony Drmic was huge for Northside with 33 points, with Lual Diing adding 23.
Three players scored at least 23 for Rip City - Verle Williams, Isaih Tueto and Kouat Noi, but that was where their scoring efforts ended.
USC 94 (Noi and Tueta 24, Williams 23)
NORTHSIDE 102 (Drmic 33, Diing 23, Thew 14)
North Gold Coast Seahawks (81) def by Red City Roar (92)
While this game was close, it was never truly in question, with the combined talents of Spencer Parker and Nelson Larkins too much for the Seahawks.
Alex Mudronja lead North Gold Coast with 24 points, but despite three other double-digit scorers they were not able to make a charge.
NORTH GOLD COAST 81 (Mudronja 24, Wigness 16, Krause 15)
RED CITY 92 (Parker 24, Larkins 22, Croff 18)
Cairns Marlins (83) def by Rockhampton Rockets (97)
A big win for the Rockets, this game came down to the abilities of Todd Blanchfield, who had 30 points on 47% shooting.
Benjamin Ayre lead all scorers with 34 points, but the lack of support from his Cairns teammates meant that the Marlins were left in the dust by Rockhampton.
CAIRNS 83 (Ayre 34, George 26, Mitchell 13)
ROCKHAMPTON 97 (Blanchfield 30, Woodfall 22, Moss 16)
Ipswich Force (92) def by South West Metro Pirates (105)
This was a dominant offensive display from SW Metro, all five starters plus one bench player reaching double digits in a 13-point flogging of Ipswich.
Ipswich had two 20+ players of their own - Henry Pwono and Isaac White - but they weren't enough to survive the onslaught of buckets that the Pirates had in store for them.
IPSWICH 92 (Pwono 24, White 22, Ward 11)
SW METRO 105 (Teys 23, Carter 18, Joly 14)
Southern Districts Spartans (72) def by Logan Thunder (97)
What do you get when Rasmus Bach and Boston Mazlin combine for 50? In this case, you get a 25-point win over the Spartans.
Southern Districts had no answers for Logan, their top scorer reaching only 16 whilst Bach and Mazlin went scorched-earth on the Spartans.
SOUTHERN DISTRICTS 72 (Cedar 16, Mandol Pan M 10, Ammar 9)
LOGAN 97 (Bach 26, Mazlin 24, Kerle 13)
Darwin Salties (78) def by Townsville Heat (94)
It was tough going for the Salties tonight, who remained close all night only to be blown out of the building in the fourth quarter, outscored 29-11.
For the Heat, both Richard Peachey and DeAndre Daniels scored over 20 points, and while Makuach Maluach lead all scorers with 25, it wasn't enough to secure the win.
DARWIN 78 (Maluach 25, Dufelmeier 16, Wright 10)
TOWNSVILLE 94 (Peachey 24, Daniels 21, Betts 15)
