NBL1 North Recap: Round 4 - Sunday May 22

Despite there being only two games for this NBL1 North Sunday, the teams made them count, with both Sunshine Coast and Southern Districts taking huge wins on the men's and women's sides.

WOMEN

Sunshine Coast Phoenix (44) def by Southern Districts Spartans (96) 

A complete annihilation from the Spartans in this game, taking down the Phoenix by 52 points. 

The Phoenix could only manage one double-digits scorer - Amy Browne with 20 points. 

For the Spartans, they had four out of five starters hit the double figures mark  - Madelyn Allen leading the game with 23 points, while Leah Scott claimed a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double.

SOUTHERN DISTRICTS 96 (Allen 23, Scott 21, Dart 18)

MEN

Southern Districts Spartans (87) def by Sunshine Coast Phoenix (104)

The Spartans kept this game from getting too out of hand, but they weren't able to keep it close, going down to the Phoenix by 17 points. 

Southern Districts had four players score at least 13 points, which most nights would be enough to secure a win, but not when faced with the Sunshine Coast's scoring barrage. 

The Phoenix had two players hit 23 points - Darnell Robateau and Mason Bragg - as well as four others in double digits, a complete offensive masterclass, and a final score to reflect it.
