Logan Thunder 93 def Northside Wizards 74
Logan Thunder sit atop the men’s and women’s standings of the NBL1 North after the men defeated Northside Wizards 93-74 at the Bendigo Bank Cornubia Park Sports Complex on Sunday.
The undefeated Thunder offence was led by guard Jeremy Kendle, who stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 16 assists, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Backcourt partner Michael Cedar added a game high 17 points including 5 of 11 shots made from deep.
Logan centre Mitch Young (16 points, 8 rebounds), Boston Mazlin (15 points, 6 rebounds) and new recruit Blake Jones (14 points) were also key contributors for the Thunder.
The Wizards also had five players in double figures with Aiden Krause (16 points), Cameron Thew (16 points), Jesse Ghee (15 points), Zach Williams-Hook (13 points), and Atem (11 points).
The Thunder (4-0) next face the 2-1 Townsville Heat at home on Friday night.
