NBL1 North Semi-Finals Preview

The NBL1 North Semi-Finals are underway this weekend, after a chaotic weekend of highlights and results, check out how the Semi-Finals will shape up this weekend! 

Women’s 

Logan Thunder v Brisbane Capitals

After knocking off the NBL1 North MVP Tiana Mangakahia and Opal star Shyla Heal, Abby Cubillo and the Capitals will head down to Logan to play the 20-0 Thunder. 

After being snubbed for MVP, Mikaela Ruef will be as hungry as ever to get her Thunder past the Capitals on Saturday night. She said on the NBL1 Show earlier this season that Logan can win the North and the Coles Express NBL1 National Final.

Southern District Spartans v Townsville Flames 

This match-up between the Spartans and Flames will be an absolute must-watch. The Spartans' continuity and a roster full of depth against the three-head monster of Steph Reid, Alanna Smith and Courtney Woods. 

This game will answer the age-old question, what matters more? Talent or chemistry?

Men’s 

Gold Coast Rollers v Northside Wizards

After a jam-packed weekend of highlights, the Gold Coast Rollers will host the Northside Wizards. The NBL overlap is staggering, with the Rollers’ Jason Cadee and Tanner Krebs taking on the full NBL starting line-up of the Wizards.

Northside’s veteran Kevin White said on the Coles Express NBL1 Show that the Wizards are more than a chance to get past the Rollers on Saturday this weekend.

USC Rip City v Cairns Marlins 

The two hottest teams in the NBL1 North will face off on Saturday.
