NBL23 is better than ever and our NBL1 stars are showing out!

Tanner Krebs 

The NBL1 North champion has had a slow start to NBL23, but against the New Zealand Breakers he had a season-high 19 points shooting 7/13 off the bench. 

Expectations were high for Krebs, the 26-year-old had an outstanding season with the Gold Coast Rollers, averaging 23 points per game and collecting a North championship along the way. The season hangs in the balance for the Bullets, but Krebs is most certainly an x-factor for Brisbane for the rest of the season if they are to turn it around.

Nick Marshall 

The Adelaide 36ers have had a variety of roster changes throughout the early stages of the season, and Mount Gamber’s Nick Marshall has reaped the rewards most so far. 

After leading the Pioneers to the NBL1 South Grand Final and being a part of the historic NBLxNBA win, Marshall has had a boost in confidence going into NBL23 and has been able to show off all the work he’s put in during NBL1.

Suiting up against Pioneers co-star Michael Harris, Marshall scored eight points in 11 minutes off the bench in Adelaide’s win over Perth. As the season continues and Adelaide builds on their retooled offence around Robert Franks, Marshall should be able to slot in as a perfect wing shooter for the 36ers. 

Keanu Pinder 

Arguably the MVP front-runner, Keanu Pinder has dominated NBL23 so far and the Cairns Taipans are rolling. Sitting third on the ladder after beating the Sydney Kings in overtime with 30 points and 13 rebounds, the Northside Wizards superstar is leading the championship-contending Taipans.

Between his Boomers duties and taking the Wizards to the NBL1 North Semi-Finals, Pinder has been an absolute superstar in NBL23. Playing alongside Mitch McCarron and the re-signed Lual Diing gave Pinder room to be a dominant big in NBL1 and that has most certainly translated with the Taipans.
