Newly signed Pirates juniors look to make their mark in NBL1

The South West Metro Pirates have announced the inclusion of three juniors for the 2021 NBL1 North season, with Chloe Butcher, Lilyanna Edwards and Susan McHugh all putting pen to paper. 

All three players were part of South West's QSL2 Women's team last season and have just completed a successful season with the Pirates' U18 Purple Women's team in the SQJBC. 

The Butcher, Edwards and McHugh names have been added to a roster that already boasts strong players, including Tylah King, Amanda Johnson, Bree Farley, Steph Bairstow, Emily-Kate Parker, Isabelle Parker, Kisha Lee and Kayla Kiriau. 

The Pirates open their NBL1 North season with a clash against the Southern Districts Spartans on Saturday 15 May.
