NSW star Ali Burke joins the Force

The Ipswich Force NBL1 Women have announced the signing of NSW based guard, Ali Burke.

Burke comes to the Force having spent time playing with the Norths Bears and Hornsby Spiders Women in the Waratah League in NSW.

Recently, Burke has also been representing on the 3x3 scene, playing in the Pro Hustle series as well as attending the 3x3 University World Cup in 2019.

She is a former NSW Metro junior state team player and will bring all this experience to the Force in 2021.  

Coach Brady Walmsley said he was excited to have Burke on board for season 2021. 

"Ali comes highly recommended by one of my favourite coaches in Basketball, Rob Beveridge, and I am pleased to have secured her services," he said.

"The point guard position is going to be vital to our team success and with Amy Lewis and Ali Burke running our team, we feel like we go into every game with a head start.

"We look forward to having Ali join us in the next couple of weeks and building towards our round one matchup on the road against the Gold Coast Rollers.”
