Pirates re-sign 2023 MVP

The South West Metro Pirates have re-signed their 2023 MVP, Leah Scott, for the 2024 NBL1 North season.

Scott has re-signed to hopefully lead the Pirates to a Grand Final, after a Semi Finals appearance saw them go under to the championship-winning Northside Wizards.

Scott ended her season on a high and averaged a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds per game in 2023.

The 30-year-old forward has created a name for herself over the past couple seasons in the NBL1. She was a 2022 National Finals All-Star Five player, and she was on the 2023 NBL1 North Second Team.

Scott will return to the Pirates in the 2024 Mitsubishi Motors NBL1 North’s women’s competition.
