Roberts Impresses In SBL Round 17

Hobart Chargers star Tayla Roberts had one of her best performances of the SBL season this week, posting 31 points to help lead the Southern Wolves over the Glenorchy Spartans 71-67.

Roberts received strong support from teammate Ellie Collins, who scored 22 points.

Kate Berry was the Spartans’ best with 20 points while Sarah O’Neill had 16.

In the other women’s game, 25 points from Josie Greenwood helped see the KHBA Kings take down the Hobart Phoenix 65-51.

Dimitria Jaynes continued her hot form from last week with 20 points for Hobart.

Noah Straatsma was the standout performer in the men’s league this week as his 28 points helped lead the Kings over the Wolves 77-62.

Elijah Pawson added 17 points for the victors while BJ Radcliffe’s 20 points were the most for the Wolves.

Hobart defeated the Grenadiers 78-65 in the other game as Tiri Masunda (24 points) and Jordan Hargrave (22) had strong offensive efforts.

Matthew Young was the Grenadiers’ best with 21 points.
