Rockets sign Ben Wright

The Rockhampton Rockets have secured Ben Wright for the 2021 NBL1 North season. 

Wright returns to the Rockets after last playing with the club in 2019 and is extremely happy about returning to familiar surroundings. 

“I love the community support in Rockhampton and can’t wait to get back on the floor in front of our supporters and contribute towards the Rockets success in 2021," Wright said,

"I have been working hard to improve my game, and believe I have improved my strength and I am really ready contribute in any way Neal requires.”

Rockhampton coach Neal Tweedy was also extremely pleased Wright had returned for the 2021 season. 

"Ben provides us with someone who has great versatility and we can rely on to take on some defensive assignments in many different positions on the floor," Tweedy said.

"We will be looking for him to also contribute more on the offensive end in 2021 and believe he will be given the opportunity to do that. 

"I am really looking forward to what Ben has to offer the group this season and I think he has a great opportunity to have a big year for the Rockets.”
