Sharks to add bite to NBL1 East with Bates and Dark appointments

The Sutherland Sharks have added the first piece of their NBL1 East puzzle for the 2022 season, appointing Shelley Bates and Adrian Dark as their women's and men's coaches, respectively. 

Bates has spent time coaching in the U16 and U18 NSW Country women's programs over the years and also had a stint at Illawarra. 

As a player, she represented Shoalhaven. 

Similar to Bates, Dark has also spent time in the NSW state league system, coaching the U18 NSW Metro men's team. 

Prior to taking the reins of Sutherland's senior men's team, he was an assistant coach of the Sharks U16 Boys Division 1 side.
