“I would say she’s the leading candidate for the MVP right now,” Hire said on the latest episode of The NBL1 Show.
“Alex Sharp’s performance, her form has been absolutely sensational.”
The 2021 NBL1 West MVP is averaging 23.2 points, 14.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists this season. Her last game against the Eastern Suns was outstanding for her rise as an all-rounded stat leader.
17 rebounds against the Eastern Suns in a massive win at home meant Sharp has caught the attention of the whole league this NBL1 2023 season.
“Third in scoring, in terms of averages,” Hire said.
“She second in rebounding…incredible figures for a young woman like herself.”
