The Geelong Supercats have continued their signing spree with the signature of Melbourne United guard Shea Ili for the 2021 NBL1 South season.

The Geelong Supercats have continued their signing spree with the signature of Melbourne United guard Shea Ili for the 2021 NBL1 South season.

In the NBL, Ili is averaging 8.4 points and 2.3 assists per game in his second season at Melbourne.

The New Zealand National previously played for the Breakers and won an NBL championship with them in 2015.

Ili crossed to the NBL after dominating the NZNBL, a league where he won five championships, three All-Star Five spots and three NZNBL Most Outstanding Guard awards.

At Geelong, the 28-year-old will line up with two Melbourne United teammates in Jo Lual-Acuil and Jack White (pending injury).

The Supercats tip-off for the 2021 NBL1 South season with a blockbuster clash with the Knox Raiders at the State Basketball Centre.
