The Frankston Blues have announced the return of Saraid Taylor for the upcoming NBL1 South Season.

Saraid returns to the Blues after a championship-winning season with the Southside Flyers in the 2020 WNBL season.

In the 2019 NBL1 season, Taylor started every game and was one of just two Blues players to play all 20 games for the season. Proving to be one of the team’s most versatile players, she provided 10.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Coach Belinda Snell spoke about Taylor’s return.

“It’s great to have Saraid Taylor return the Blues this season,” Snell said.

“Saraid has worked extremely hard with the Southside Flyers and has shown improvement, continuing to work on being an all-round player.

“We will be looking for Saraid to play an integral part to the Blues this season."

Taylor spoke about her return to the club, and its people.

“The culture at Frankston is such a special one, deeply reflected in its people: from senior players to junior players, coaches to staff administrators," Taylor said.

“Its values of community and compassion and resilience were particularly visible through COVID-19 — all are ones I want to represent and help cultivate, so I am thrilled to have committed again to the Blues for the 2021 season.”
