Tigers add Brancatisano trio to roster

The Melbourne Tigers have added three exciting athletes to their 2021 NBL1 South roster.

Isa, Charlotte and Maddy Brancatisano are sisters with impeccable basketball pedigrees and a fierce determination to compete.

All three played their junior basketball at the Melbourne Tigers and most recently took the court for Geelong’s NBL1 team in 2019.

The guards will create a formidable backcourt with Monique Conti.

Isa signed with the Tigers for the ill-fated 2020 season, but the appointment of David Herbert as coach for 2021 drew Maddy and Charlotte to join her.

"We are excited to be back playing together and at Melbourne where our junior basketball started," Isa said.

"Having 'Herbie' as head coach was a great incentive for us to return, he brings the best out in all of us.

"It is a fun team to be a part of and we think we have a team to challenge for playoffs."

Continuing the ‘family’ theme, Isa, Maddy and Charlotte's Mum, Emma will be the team’s manager.

The Tigers stage their first home game against Sandringham at MSAC on Saturday.
