Townsville sign pair of youngsters

Townsville has signed a pair of youngsters for the 2021 NBL1 North season with Chailee Ward joining the Flames and Luca Yates joining the Heat.

Ward has already spent a couple of years developing in the Flames team and in NBL1 North she is ready to show the league what she has got. The leader of a junior Townsville Flames team that won everything on offer she is wanting to add a senior title to her resume.

Fresh of winning Gold at the Under 18 State Championships, Yates is ready to take on big man duties with the Heat.

Townsville’s NBL1 North season begins on May 14 against Mackay.
