Wizards sign Mitch McCarron

The Northside Wizards have signed Melbourne United star and Australian Boomers Olympic squad member Mitch McCarron for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

McCarron has played for Northside before, playing in their QBL team from 2013-2015. He is currently playing for United in NBL21 and will join the Wizards once the NBL season is over.

“Mitch is the ideal signing for any team. Not just because of his versatility and skill, but also his leadership, experience and overall character. Adding Mitch and a couple more players of his calibre to the group we have already established will make us a hard team to beat,” coach Nick Roberts said.

The 28-year-old was named to the Boomers Olympic squad for the Tokyo Olympics.
