Wizards welcome back McCarty

The Northside Wizards have welcomed back crowd favourite Regan McCarty for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

McCarty is one of the most established Northside juniors and has developed into a respected leader and lethal outside shooter.

Following multiple Queensland South State teams selections, McCarty attended Newberry College in America where she went on to average 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds her senior year.

Following her successful college stint, McCarty returned home and led the 2018 Northside Wizards SBL team to its first Championship and was awarded the MVP.

“We’re expecting a big season from the Wizards junior, her length gives us versatility defensively and her ability to stretch the floor will be key for us,” coach Rebecca Stephens said.
