WNBL star Rocci signs with Spartans in NBL1 North

WNBL star and Australian Opal Maddison Rocci has signed with the Southern Districts Spartans for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

Rocci is a two-time WNBL champion with the Canberra Capitals and is coming off a season where she averaged a career high 16 points per game. She also played for the University of Sunshine Coast Rip City in the 2020 QSL season, amassing 32.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

The 22-year-old is also a member of the Australian Opals squad, who are in preparations for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.  

Rocci is the first announced signing for the Spartans 2021 women’s team.
