Youngster MacGregor signs with Force

The Ipswich Force have secured talented youngster Catherine MacGregor for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

The Ipswich Force have secured talented youngster Catherine MacGregor for the 2021 NBL1 North season.

MacGregor impressed in the 2020 QSL season by averaging 14.9 points and 6.3 rebounds in 30.9 minutes per game. Ipswich coach Brady Walmsley is excited to have MacGregor back with the squad for 2021.

“Coming off a QSL season where she showed she could be counted on as a reliable scorer and a dangerous shooter, we are excited to have Cat return to play a significant role in our back court in NBL1 North,” Walmsley said via the club’s Facebook page.

“Cat is a prime example of the strength of the player pathway at Ipswich Basketball, having played her junior career here, as well as representing Queensland on the national stage as an Ipswich athlete.

“She now transitions to being a really prominent figure on our senior women’s team and through her example, demonstrates the possibilities available at our club to aspiring female junior players.”

MacGregor joins Amy Lewis on the Force’s 2021 women’s roster.
