Amy Atwell, Nyadiew Puoch and Renae Mokrzycki led Bendigo Braves, Dandenong Rangers and Waverley Falcons to Friday night NBL1 South wins with Rowan Mackenzie a standout for the Bendigo men as well.
The Friday night women's NBL1 South action saw the Bendigo Braves beat the Geelong United Supercats 107-88, the Dandenong Rangers down the Hobart Chargers 79-60 and the Waverley Falcons win 101-69 against the Launceston Tornadoes.
Then the men's action had the Braves beat the Supercats 88-81 while the Chargers defeated the Rangers and the Falcons downed the North West Tasmania Thunder 97-77.

Geelong United Supercats (88) defeated Bendigo Braves (107)
The remarkable winning run of the Bendigo Braves continued in Geelong on Friday night with the 107-88 victory against the Supercats.
The Braves arrived at The Arena putting their winning run on the line that stretches back to the last game they lost which was the 2022 Grand Final against a Supercats team hunting their first win of 2024.
Bendigo started the game on fire too going on a 10-0 run in the opening quarter and leading by as much 17 points before still being on top 32-21 by the end of one.
The lead did get out to as much as 18 points in the third quarter but the Supercats avoided the game getting too far out of hand and were within striking distance down 12 by three quarter-time.
Bendigo pulled away again in the fourth frame, though, with another 31 points to 24 to claim the 19-point win to remain undefeated this season on the back of winning both the NBL1 South and National Championships in 2023.
Perth Lynx WNBL and Australian Opals star Amy Atwell was tremendous once more for Bendigo putting up 33 points and three assists on 15/29 shooting from the field.
Megan McKay was a dominant force again too with 24 points and 18 rebounds with 10/12 shooting from the foul line.
Cassidy McLean contributed 14 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals, Ally Wilson 14 points, seven boards and six assists, and Kelly Wilson eight points, eight assists and six rebounds.
Lasha Petree put in a huge performance for Geelong United with 28 points, three rebounds and two assists including hitting 4/7 from behind the three-point arc.
Kobe Tehau-King added 18 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and three assists, Sarah Elsworthy 16 points, eight assists and four rebounds, and Shaneice Swain 11 points, six boards, three steals and two assists.

Hobart Chargers (60) lost to Dandenong Rangers (79)
The Dandenong Rangers scored a second win already in Round 2 of the NBL1 South hitting the road to beat the Hobart Chargers 79-60 on Friday.
After splitting their two Round 1 games to start the season, Dandenong scored a second win of 2024 on Wednesday night at home to the Eltham Wildcats.
They then backed up with a trip to Hobart Netball and Sports Centre on Friday night against a Chargers team who opened their season last week beating the Launceston Tornadoes.
Even though the Rangers had opened up an eight-point lead in the first quarter, Hobart did well to cut the deficit back to one by quarter-time.
Again Dandenong pushed out to a seven-point edge in the second term but the Chargers were staying within touch and keeping the margin to five at the main break.
The Rangers took further control through the second half, though, with the lead growing to 15 points in the third period and then as much as 24 in the fourth before the eventual 19-point victory as they improve to 3-1 on the season.
Nyadiew Puoch continues to go from strength to strength on the back of her WNBL championship winning season with the Southside Flyers.
She produced another 25 points, eight rebounds and three steals on 9/14 shooting from the floor and 7/10 at the charity stripe.
Dallas Loughridge added 22 points, three assists and two rebounds, Imogen Rock 13 points and seven boards, and Manuela Puoch 10 points, four rebounds and two assists.
Kayla Steindl put up 15 points and 13 rebounds for Hobart with Cierra Walker contributing 13 points, four boards and four assists, and Zoe Banks 11 points.

With Renae Mokrzycki putting in a stunning performance to lead the Waverley Falcons to the 101-69 road victory on Friday night against the Launceston Tornadoes.
The Tornadoes were playing host to the Falcons at Elphin Sports Stadium looking for their first win of the NBL1 South season while Waverley were doing the same following two opening round losses.
It was a spectacular opening quarter performance from the visiting Falcons as they raced out to a 23-point lead and were still up 37-21 by quarter-time.
Launceston did attempt a fightback and went on a 12-0 scoring run, but still by half-time Waverley were in control leading 62-42.
The lead for the Falcons continued to grow through the second half and was as much as 30 points in the third quarter and 35 in the fourth before settling at 32 by the final buzzer.
It was a first win of the season for Waverley with Renae Mokrzycki unstoppable with 29 points, 13 rebounds, two steals and two blocks on 14/17 from the field.
Sharna Thompson added 22 points and four assists on 5/12 three-point shooting while Carley Ernst put up 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists on hitting 3/6 from downtown.
Emma Povh also knocked down 4/5 from behind the arc for 12 points and two rebounds.
Sarah O'Neill finished with 29 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Torns with Macey Crawford contributing 20 points and five boards, and Josie Pinkerton seven points, six boards, two assists and two blocks.

Geelong United Supercats (81) lost to Bendigo Braves (88)
The Bendigo Braves handed the Geelong United Supercats their first loss of the NBL1 South season with Rowan Mackenzie starring in the 88-81 road victory on Friday.
Both teams were coming off victories with Geelong winning its opening game of the season over the Ballarat Miners while the Braves bounced back from losing to Ballarat to beat the Waverley Falcons.
That set up their meeting on Friday at The Arena with both teams having their turn in front in the first quarter but by quarter-time it was the Supercats clinging to the 24-23 lead.
Bendigo then took charge in the second frame putting up 28 points to 11 to go into the half-time interval leading 51-35.
While the Supercats did keep things interesting through the second half, Bendigo did end up having the answers in the finish to score the seven-point victory to improve to 2-1 on the season.
Rowan Mackenzie has made the move across the country after being a Lakeside Lightning product in the NBL1 West and starred again in the win for Bendigo with 26 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Andrew Robinson added 17 points and 10 rebounds, Lachlan O'Brien 17 points, four boards and three steals, Koch Bar 12 points and eight rebounds, and Billy Smythe 11 points and three boards.
Latrell Jones continued his strong start to his season with the Supercats with another 29 points and four steals with DeMarcus Gatlin contributing 22 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals on 3/4 three-point shooting.

The Hobart Chargers opened their account for the NBL1 South season with Ole Angerstein a powerful force in the 85-73 home victory against the Dandenong Rangers.
The Chargers were looking to bounce back from a first up loss to the North West Tasmania Thunder hosting the Rangers at Hobart Netball and Sports Centre with Dandenong out to also bounce back from their first loss of 2024 on Wednesday to the Eltham Wildcats.
By the end of the opening quarter the Chargers had opened up a five-point lead and then they blew the game wide open in the second stanza completing an 11-0 run to extend the advantage to 21 points.
Hobart would go into half-time leading 40-19 and then despite 54 points to 45 in favour of Dandenong in the second half, Hobart still held firm for the 12-point victory.
It's a first win of the season for the Chargers with Ole Angerstein an imposing presence on his way to 20 points, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots on 9/15 shooting from the floor.
Vionte Daniels added 19 points and six rebounds, Joe Chilcott 17 points, four boards, four assists and two steals, and Jacob Richards 15 points, six rebounds, six assists and two blocked shots.
Jack Roberts ended up top-scoring for Dandenong with 20 points and eight rebounds with Tad Dufelmeier contributing 19 points, eight boards and four assists, Mason Peatling 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Jacob Tryon 10 points, six boards and three steals.

North West Tasmania Thunder (77) lost to Waverley Falcons (97)
The Waverley Falcons scored their first win of the NBL1 South season heading across Bass Strait to beat the North West Tasmania Thunder 97-77.
The Thunder opened their season beating the Hobart Chargers ahead of hosting Waverley at Elphin Sports Stadium with the Falcons out to bounce back from opening round losses to the Bendigo Braves and Mount Gambier Pioneers.
It was a terrific start from Waverley away from home hunting that first win racing out to an 11-point lead by quarter-time.
The Falcons completed a 14-0 scoring streak in the second quarter and that saw the advantage grow to 24 points and was still 54-41 by the half-time interval.
North West Tasmania did throw everything at a comeback and scored 16 points in-a-row themselves in the third quarter to get back within five points but then Waverley pulled away again.
This time it was for good and the visitors went on to win by 20 points for their first win of 2024 with Matthew McCarthy delivering 20 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Malik Meunier has come back to Melbourne after winning an NBL1 West championship last season and put up 16 points, 14 assists, eight rebounds and three steals with Mason Forbes contributing 16 points and five boards.
Maurice Howard also had 15 points and six rebounds, Bennie Lewis 12 points, two assists and two steals, and Rhyss Lewis 10 points and two rebounds.
Tre Armstrong top-scored for North West Tasmania with 16 points and eight rebounds with Archer Woodhill contributing 15 points and four boards, and Ben Woolley 13 points and three assists.
