TOWNSVILLE CROWNED NBL1 NORTH CHAMPIONS

The Townsville Flames have been crowned NBL1 North Champions after sweeping the undefeated Logan Thunder 2-0 in the three-game series. 

The Thunder came into the series 21-0,  but the Flames handed them their two first losses of the season in this Grand Finals Series. 

While Opals star Alanna Smith’s mid-season addition changed the momentum of the Flames, the point guard and NBL1 North All-Star 5 Member Stephanie Reid carried this team all season and through this series to the win. 

She was named the Coles Express NBL1 North Finals MVP in two games averaging 24.5 points per game and 9.5 assists.
