Jason Cadee has continuously performed week in and week out in the NBL1 North this season, with expert Jon Guarna naming him a MVP candidate.
The reigning champions are on fire eight rounds into the season and Cadee has been displaying his natural basketball instincts on the court to damage opponents.
Gold Coast has won seven games in a row and Guarna has explained how the NBL veteran is leading the team to success this year.
“They are in a great spot and leading the way as he always does is Jason Cadee,” Guarna said on The NBL1 Show.
“[Cadee] put on an absolute clinic. The thing that always impresses me about Jason is that it doesn’t feel forced, it comes natural to him.”
Cadee was an all-rounder on Friday against the Townsville Heat. In a 106-93 win, Cadee put down 30 points, 8 rebounds and a massive 16 assists.
On the verge of a triple-double, he led the squad to their seventh win in a row.
Guarna dropped Cadee’s name as the leading MVP candidate for the NBL1 North, adding his ‘creativity’ is a part of the most-valued qualities in his performances.
“He was on absolute fire, his shots were falling, his creativity is always there,” Guarna said.
“To me Jason Cadee, if he’s on the court he’s an MVP candidate. His play thus far this season is certainly proving him to be one of the candidates.”
Cadee averages 23.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 11 assists per game. The Rollers are currently in second place on the ladder with an 8-2 record.
Watch Cadee and the Rollers take on the Red City Roar on Saturday, at 7:00pm via NBL1.com.au or the NBL1 App here.
