NBL1 West star Jonathan Wade is set to return to the Joondalup Wolves for the next two seasons.

Wade suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the preseason of 2023. Remaining with the team throughout the season, his impact was felt as a leader on and off the court.

In the 2022 season, he averaged 19.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists for the Finals team, losing to the Geraldton Buccaneers in the Preliminary Final.

Wade explained he is excited to return to the court for Joondalup in the coming NBL1 West season.

“I am extremely excited to be back with the Wolfpack for the next two years,” he told the Wolves.

“The past year being out was one of the hardest things that I have gone through in my professional career. However, being out made me appreciate being healthy again, and I would say it made me a better leader and teammate as well.”

Head Coach David Morrell explained that the team missed his presence on the court last season, stating that he will be a must-watch player next season with his athleticism and hunger to return.
