NBL1 West Women's Conference Finals Preview

The NBL1 West conference finals are underway this weekend! 

In one of the most exciting conferences, the West has been jam-packed with stats, stories and action all season! Check out the Women’s first round fixtures below: 

Qualifying Finals 

Joondalup Wolves v Mandurah Magic 

The Wolves went on a 16-game win streak this season and finished the season strong even without team MVP Robbi Ryan, who is set to return on Friday. 

However, the Mandurah Magic was quietly gone about their business this season, locking in a finals spot early off the back of great team chemistry. Casey Mihovilovich led the team in assists helping her Magic have four players average double-digit scoring.

Warwick Senators v Willetton Tigers 

The Senators will host the Tigers on Saturday as the MVP Stacey Barr will be the talk of the match going into the first final for the top of the ladder Senators. 

The Tigers are another team who have quietly gone through the season, they finished with a 15-5 record as Alex Sharp was Willetton’s key piece to success.

Elimination Finals 

Cockburn Cougars v Perry Lake Hawks 

The Cougars will host the Hawks as Perry Lakes Emma Clarke will have to carry her team past Cockburn. She averaged 22 points per game in the regular season and will go up against the Cougar's team of depth and defence.

Lakeside Lightning v Rockingham Flames

This game will be the Mehryn Kraker show. The American import has been a star for Rockingham from start to finish and the Lightning will have a handful with her.
