Local player Makala Bingley joins Tornadoes

The Launceston Tornadoes have announced the signing of local player Makala Bingley for the 2021 NBL1 South season.

The Launceston Tornadoes have announced the signing of local player Makala Bingley for the 2021 NBL1 South season.
Bingley has represented Tasmania at the National Championships for the past four years, which saw her earn a spot on the Tornadoes' roster in 2019 as a 16-year-old.
The forward is appreciative of the opportunity ahead with Launceston in the 2021 NBL1 South season.
"Basketball has really opened up my life to an endless amount of opportunities and goals to strive for," Bingley said.
"With the support from the basketball community, I know that anything is possible."
Bingley joins Keely Froling, Mariah Payne, Teyla Evans and D'Asia Chambers on Launceston's Women's roster.
The Tornadoes commence their 2021 NBL1 South campaign next Saturday night with a clash against the Hobart Chargers.
