There were Saturday night NBL1 South Men's victories for the Frankston Blues, Sandringham Sabres, Melbourne Tigers, Waverley Falcons, Keilor Thunder, Kilsyth Cobras and Knox Raiders.

The last round of the NBL1 South regular season began back on Friday night with the Hobart Chargers guaranteeing themselves a top two finish by beating the North West Tasmania Thunder 87-83, and the Mount Gambier Pioneers winning big 102-70 over the Ballarat Miners.

Then on Saturday night, the Frankson Blues scored their 13th win of the season to consolidate a position inside the top by eight knocking the Diamond Valley Eagles out of the playoff race with the 96-87 victory.

Daniel Trist delivered 22 points for Frankson, Lachie Barker 19 and Adrio Bailey 18 to go with 11 rebounds. The absence of DJ Vasiljevic proved too much for Diamond Valley to overcome despite 18 points from Ngor Manyang and 16 from BJ Symons.

The Sandringham Sabres are locked into a top four position and kept their winning form going beating the Eltham Wildcats 90-58.

Shea Ili finished with 17 points for Sandringham and David Okwera 13 points to go with 15 rebounds while Owen Foxwell put up 24 points, six rebounds and three steals for Eltham.

Two teams out of the playoff race locked horns at Nunawading Basketball Centre with the Melbourne Tigers defeating the Nunawading Spectres 93-87.

Taj Chehhal top-scored for Melbourne with 23 points on seven three-pointers with Mason Gaze adding 19 points and eight rebounds. CJ Asuncion-Byrd put up 19 points for Nunawading.

The Waverley Falcons continued their impressive late season form with a thumping road win over the Dandenong Rangers on Saturday night, 115-71.

Dexter Kernich-Drew had a night out for the Falcons hitting 10 three-pointers on his way to 34 points. Deng Puoch and Lawson Eales scored 14 points each for Dandenong.

The Keilor Thunder recorded their eighth win of the season by beating the Casey Cavaliers 75-67 at home.

Jacob Lampkin top-scored for the Thunder with 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists with Matt Donlan finishing with 20 points and six boards for the Cavs.

The third placed Kilsyth Cobras produced a strong performance to beat the fifth placed Bendigo Braves 83-78 on their home court.

Corey Jeffs produced 22 points and 12 rebounds for Kilsyth, Jamie Ahale 20 points and Adrian Tomada 14 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. Luke Rosendale put up 22 points for Bendigo and Sidy Djitte 15 points and 15 rebounds.

The Knox Raiders were then able to win an overtime classic against the Ringwood Hawks to enhance their finals prospects with the eventual 86-84 win away from home.

Reuben Te Rangi was superb for Knox with 27 points and five rebounds while Emmett Naar put up 25 points for Ringwood.

The NBL1 South regular season will now wrap up on Sunday afternoon with the Ballarat Miners at home to the Bendigo Braves, the Knox Raiders taking on Keilor Thunder, the Eltham Wildcats facing the Dandenong Rangers, the Melbourne Tigers playing the Frankston Blues, Waverley Falcons taking on the Mount Gambier Pioneers, and the Casey Cavaliers hosting the Geelong Supercats.
