South East Melbourne Phoenix starter Reuben Te Rangi will suit up with the Knox Raiders in NBL1 South 2021.

Te Rangi showed off his wide range of skills in Round 9 against Melbourne United, where he sealed the game late going past Sam McDaniel and finishing a tough layup at the rim in overtime.

The New Zealand national player brings a host of achievements to Knox. At the age of 26, Te Rangi is already a two time NBL Champion, 2019 NBL Sixth Man of the Year and Most Improved Player in the same year. Back in New Zealand, he has also won three NZNBL Championships, and was the 2018 NZ NBL Finals MVP.

Raiders Head Coach Dom Linossier doesn't understate the impact Reuben can have with the group.

"Reuben is a really exciting prospect at Knox," Linossier said.

"He comes to us with a phenomenal resume in his professional career, and will add an elite punch to our crew as a versatile playmaker.

"I know that Reuben, much like Mason Peatling, will be an MVP candidate for the league - what an exciting time to be a Raider fan."
