The Frankston Blues have announced Courtney Wilkins will return to the club for the upcoming 2021 NBL1 South Season.
The Blues junior was set to play for Frankston in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
In the 2019 NBL1 season, Wilkins played 11 games after joining the Blues mid-season following her graduation from the University at Buffalo.
The forward averaged 9.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 25 minutes per game while shooting almost 40 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
Coach Belinda Snell spoke about the standard Wilkins sets.
“It will be great to have Courtney representing the Blues again this year,” Snell said.
“Courtney is one of our hardest workers and a real leader setting the standard for our younger players.
“We look forward to seeing her great shooting touch out on the court again.”
Wilkins spoke about the upcoming season.
“I can’t wait to get back on the court this season to help bring success to Frankston,” Wilkins said.
“With a young and upcoming group of talent, it’s exciting to see what this year holds.”
