Sturt Sabres declare themselves contenders
The Sturt Sabres were the runner-ups last season, and tonight they knocked off the reigning NBL1 Central champions by a staggering 32 points to put themselves as the team to beat this season.
Mikayla Williams had a massive double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds to put the Sabres at a different level for the rest of the season.

Coming off the 2022 NBL1 Central season where he was a part of the All-Star Five, Lachlan Olbrich now joins the West Adelaide Bearcats and has been nothing but fantastic.
He scored 16 points with seven rebounds and two blocks to seamlessly fit alongside his NBL peers Mitch McCarron and Anthony Dmric.

While people may draw their eyes to McCarron, Drmic and Olbriuch -- people should focus on Nikolas DeSantis.
The 24-year-old guard continues to produce as he put up 16 points four rebounds & assists and five steals in the Bearcats' major win over the Sabres.
