Round 12 in the NBL1 South got underway with two matches in Tasmania on Friday night and the home teams were both victorious.
The Hobart Chargers made a good start to their double-header at home this weekend by beating the Diamond Valley Eagles 93-66.
Angela Tompkins put up 35 points and 17 rebounds in a monster performance for the Chargers with Paige Bradley adding 18 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
Hope Terdich finished with 16 points for Diamond Valley, Imogen Rock 13 and Sophie Burrows 12.
The loaded Launceston Tornadoes just had too much firepower for the Knox Raiders on their home court on Friday night to end up winning 92-50.
Keely Froling delivered 33 points and 16 rebounds up against her sister's team while Marianna Tolo put up 23 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
Alicia Froling produced 15 points and eight rebounds for the Raiders while Klara Wischer added 15 points and seven boards.
Round 12 in the NBL1 South will continue on Saturday night with the Hobart Chargers backing up by playing the Knox Raiders while the Bendigo Braves play the Sandringham Sabres, and the Casey Cavaliers take on the Ringwood Hawks.
The Ballarat Miners will also face the Frankston Blues while the Dandenong Rangers play the Geelong Supercats, the Eltham Wildcats are at home to Keilor Thunder, the Kilsyth Cobras battle the Waverley Falcons and the Launceston Tornadoes are at home to the Diamond Valley Eagles.
The Mount Gambier Pioneers will also play host to the Nunawading Spectres at The Ice House.
Then on Sunday, the Bendigo Braves are hosting the Casey Cavaliers, the Waverley Falcons take on the Melbourne Tigers and Keilor Thunder play the Frankston Blues.

HOBART CHARGERS 93 defeated DIAMOND VALLEY EAGLES 66
The Diamond Valley Eagles threw down the challenge to the Hobart Chargers on Friday night and the home team dominated after quarter-time on the way to the eventual 27-point win.
The Chargers were at home to the Eagles at Kingborough Sports Centre to open Round 12 in the NBL1 South on Friday night and it was the visitors who started strongly.
By quarter-time, it was Diamond Valley on top 23-17 away from home but Hobart worked their way on top during the second quarter outscoring the Eagles with 24 points to 14 to head into the half-time break narrowly leading 41-37.
Diamond Valley continued to fight hard and stay in the contest even though Hobart's lead did grow out to 15 points during the third quarter. But by three quarter-time, the Eagles were still in touch with the Charges up 62-54.
However, the Chargers stamped their authority in the fourth quarter to blow the margin out to 28 points on the back of an 18-0 run as they ended up winning 93-66.
The victory improves the Chargers to a 3-13 record on the season with the Eagles slipping to 1-15 following the defeat.
Hobart finished the night collecting 57 rebounds to Diamond Valley's 33 including 21 at the offensive end to 10. The Chargers took 10 extra field goals and combined with shooting 46.8 per cent opposed to 32.8 summed up the difference between the teams.
Angela Tompkins was the star of the evening for Hobart with 35 points, 17 rebounds and three assists while shooting 17/28 from the floor.
Paige Bradley added 18 points, nine assists and eight rebounds for the Chargers, Leah Bartlett 17 points and seven boards, and Kylie McCauley 11 points, nine rebounds and three steals.
Hope Terdich ended up with 16 points and five rebounds for the Eagles while Imogen Rock delivered 13 points and three boards, Sophie Burrows 12 points, four rebounds and three assists, and Eliza Bannan 10 points and four boards.
LAUNCESTON TORNADOES 92 defeated KNOX RAIDERS 50
The front court duo of Keely Froling and Marianna Tolo proved too much for the Knox Raiders on Friday night with the Launceston Tornadoes running out 42-point winners.
The Tornadoes played host to the Raiders on Friday night at Elphin Sports Stadium to open Round 12 in the NBL1 South in what was a battle of the Froling sisters.
The Raiders started on fire too racing to an 8-2 lead on the back of triples from Kiera Rowe and Kara Tessari. They still led 15-8 soon after to put the onus back on the Tornadoes to respond on their home floor, and they certainly did that in emphatic fashion.
By quarter-time, Launceston had gone on a 12-0 run to grab the 20-18 lead and they then were able to continue on that momentum the rest of the way.
The Tornadoes opened up a 17-point lead during the second quarter before outscoring the Raiders 29 points to 14 for the term to head into the half-time break leading 49-32.
The dominance from Launceston continued in the third quarter as they scored another 14 points in-a-row to open up a 31-point lead, and that grew to 42 in the fourth stanza.
After trailing 15-8 early, Launceston would outscore Knox 84 points to 35 the rest of the way on the path to the eventual 92-50 on their home floor.
The win improves the Tornadoes to an 11-5 record on the season while with the loss the Raiders slip to 9-7.
The front court of the Tornadoes was dominant which included as a team them outrebounding the Raiders 50 to 27 while they shot 53.1 per cent from the floor, 47.1 per cent from deep and also went 16/17 at the foul line.
In contrast, the Raiders went at just 30.7 per cent for the night from the field, 22.7 per cent from beyond the arc and 7/13 at the charity stripe.
Keely Froling had another standout night for Launceston finishing with 33 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and two steals including going 11/12 at the foul line.
She got plenty of help from Marianna Tolo who had 23 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks with Mariah Payne adding 15 points and six boards, and Micah Simpson 15 points and six assists.
Klara Wischer finished with 15 points for the Raiders to go with seven rebounds with Alicia Froling adding 15 points and eight boards, and Leah Santomaggio eight points.
