WOMEN 

Hobart Chargers (81) def by Bendigo Braves (111)

A solid win for the Braves in this one, as they take down the Chargers by 30 points. 

Bendigo were solid across the board, Megan McKay and Abigail Wehrung both scoring at least 27 points, while Kelly Wilson had an impressive 18-point 13-assist double-double. 

Hobart’s Sharna Thompson led all scorers with 32, but the Chargers did not have the supplementary firepower to take down the Braves. 

HOBART 81 (Thompson 32, Bradley 21, Tompkins 12) 

BENDIGO 111 (McKay 28, Wehrung 27, Wilson 18) 

 

Sandringham Sabres (61) def by Ringwood Hawks (102) 

A forty-point win was instore for Ringwood in this one, winning wall-to-wall in dominant fashion. 

Digna Strautmane led all scoring with 28 points, while Merta Hermida had a staggering 17 assists. 

Funda Nakkasoglu and Brittany Smart had 18 apiece for the Sabres, but only one other player scoring more than four points was not a recipe for victory for Sandringham.

Ballarat Miners (72) def by Launceston Tornadoes (89)

A big win from the Tornadoes here, thanks in large part to an absolutely dominant display from Keely Froling. 

Froling had 35 points, 25 rebounds, five assists and two steals as her team took a 17-point victory. 

For Ballarat, Isabella Brancatis did a little bit of everything, with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block.

Diamond Valley Eagles (79) def by Dandenong Rangers (101)

This game was a classic case of Diamond Valley being good, but Dandenong were just better. 

The Rangers had three separate 20-plus scorers, led by Emilee Harmon with 29. 

Four of the Eagles starters hit double figures, led by Sophie Burrows who had a 22-point 12-rebound double-double, but Diamond Valley were outclassed by a monstrous Rangers trio.

DANDENONG 101 (Harmon 29, Potter 23, Fakalata 20) 


Casey Cavaliers (59) def by Waverley Falcons (70) 

This would have been a close game, if not for the Cavaliers giving up a 21-6 first quarter, which proved to be too much for Casey to overcome. 

Rachel Bell was Casey’s top scorer with 22, while three other players joined her in double figures. 

For Waverley, it was Carley Ernst who led with 20 points, one of four starters who scored at least 11 points.

Melbourne Tigers (49) def by Geelong Supercats (87) 

This was an absolute masterclass from Geelong, downing Melbourne by 38 points and holding them to just one double-digit scorer.

The lone player who reached over 10 points was Lily Carmody, who had 17 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Tigers. 

Geelong had three players score at least 17 points, led by Aimie Rocci who had 20, including six from 10 from three.

GEELONG 87 (Rocci 20, O’Neill 18, Elsworthy 17) 

 

MEN

Hobart Chargers (78) def by Bendigo Braves (85) 

This was a close game that the Braves took, winning by seven points. 

Harry Froling continued his dominant form, scoring 22 points and grabbing 13 rebounds as he led the game in both categories. 

However, Bendigo’s three starters who scored at least 16 points won them this game, led by Kuany Kuany with 22 himself.

NW Tasmania Thunder (89) def by Ballarat Miners (97)

Some impressive play on both sides of this game, with the Miners gaining the slight edge and as a result, the win. 

Preston Bungei was the standout, scoring 31 points to go along with six rebounds, five assists and four steals. 

But Fabijan Krslovic had a monster game himself for the Thunder, with 25 points, 13 rebounds, six blocks, four assists and four steals.

NW TASMANIA 89 (Krslovic 25, Savage 22, Macdonald 15) 

BALLARAT 97 (Bungei 31, Sapwell 21, Dunmore 10)


Dandenong Rangers (83) def by Diamond Valley Eagles (105) 

22 points separated Dandenong and Diamond Valley come the final siren in this one, with the Eagles simply proving too good for the Rangers. 

Dejan Vasiljevic continued his hot form, scoring 36 points including 6-14 from three. 

Jacob Davidson led the Rangers with 20 points, but the team were unable to mount any type of attack.

DIAMOND VALLEY 105 (Vasiljevic 36, Symons 19, Liesegang 14) 


Ringwood Hawks (81) def by Sandringham Sabres (82) 

This game could not have been any closer, with the Sabres taking the win by a single point despite a late surge from the Hawks. 

Three 20-point scorers led the charge for Sandringham, led by Campbell Blogg who came off the bench for 21. 

Tim Guers led all scorers with 22 points for Ringwood, but their resounding comeback fizzled out just a touch too short.

SANDRINGHAM 82 (Blogg 21, Barlow and Ili 20)

 

Melbourne Tigers (75) def by Geelong Supercats (97)

Melbourne did not put up much of a fight in this one, going down by 22 points to a red-hot Geelong side. 

For Geelong, it was Isaac Turner and Gabriel Hadley who led, combing for 50 of the Supercats' 97 points. 

Taj Chehhal led Melbourne in scoring with 19, but it was a tough game for the Tigers, shown clearly by the final score. 

MELBOURNE 75 (Chehhal 19, Wearne 14, von Hofe 11)

GEELONG 97 (Hadley 26, Turner 24, Blicavs 15)  

 

Waverley Falcons (87) def by Casey Cavaliers (100)

It’s always a tall task to beat a team once they hit triple figures, and this game proved no exception as Waverley went down by 13 points. 

Jordan Bell led the way for Casey, scoring 27 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. 

Tristan Forsyth was the high water mark for Waverley, but his 22 points were not enough to claim a win.
