The Frankston Blues are the Wildcard Series men’s winners and have had an up-and-down season despite their loaded roster.
They went on a four-game win streak in May and then lost two games in a row to teams in the bottom four of the ladder in June. The addition of American import big Adrio Bailey stabilised the team, with his 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, while Lachlan Barker was the team’s best player throughout the season.

That’s not to mention NBL veterans Dillon Stith and Daniel Trist, who will be leaned on for their experience in high-pressure stations in the NBL1 National Final.
Frankston beat the Geelong Supercats in the Elimination Finals in an impressive 30-point win, led by Stith who finished with 23 points and eight rebounds.
In the Semi-Finals the Blues fell short against Sandringham, missing their star Lachlan Barker. Barker had an outstanding season, averaging a team-high 20.7 points and 3.3 assists per game. He was Frankston’s offensive engine and will be crucial in the Blues getting past the Canberra Gunners.
